Our client had to deliver a large modular construction project in the United Kingdom. 24-ton modules, too heavy to be lifted in 4 points and brought to the site, compromised the completion of the project.
Sapem then developed a lifting beam distributing the lifting points on the modules in 6 to 8 places instead of 4, with perfect control of the forces. This solution allowed perfectly secure and horizontal lifting of the modules and adaptation to 64 different module types, making the operation extremely quick and simple.
Thanks to this innovative solution in the field of modular construction, the project could be delivered quickly and was a real success.
